A Card Using Bright Colours

I have created a card using bright colours to celebrate this new Festive Friday Challenge.

For this challenge #FF0143 we are celebrating World Cardmaking Day which is happening on October 7th. We are of course going to want to make the most of this day that highlights the hobby that we love to the World. The Design Team used the theme to come up with our Inspo List.

The Inspo List is 10 items you can choose from to create your project in our card making and paper crafting challenge.  Incorporate THREE of the items in your project and link up! And guess what? Your project doesn’t have to be about the theme at all!  The selected festivity is just a unique way to come up with a fun and interesting inspiration list! 

My project used: bright colours, twine, sequins, layers, art/craft supplies

A Card Using Bright Colours

For this card I went very bright, harnessing the colours that appear on this DSP which is from the Merry, Bold & Bright Suite in the September – December Mini Catalogue.

The stamp and die bundle is the Crafting For You bundle which features in the Annual Catalogue. This bundle has lots of Arts & Crafts imagery, including the cute Stamp & Emboss Machine, Paper Snips and Trimmer which are so familiar to anyone who loves Stampin’ Up! products.

The Card I Copied

I actually CASE’d a card I had created a couple of months ago for a Stamp-a-Stack class. This original card was inspired by the colours of our Stampin’ Up! tools and so features greys and blacks.

I thought bit would be fun to see how different the project looked in lots of bright colours.

• The Die Cutting Machine was stamped in Poppy parade
• The trimmer and snipe both used Pool Party and Blueberry Bushel
• The ruler was in Granny Apple Green
• The sentiment was stamped in Melon Mambo.

I added some sequins and some white twine to my Bright & Bold version to include some more of the elements on the Inspo List.
