So one very hot week, but nothing keeps us from the Craft Room.
The Suite
This week in my Facebook Lives my focus has been on the Woven Threads suite. The colour palette of this suite is mainly the 2019-2021 In Colors.
There is a little bit of Sahara Sand thrown in to give a base tone.
The suite comprises of a stamp set: dies and embossing folders bundle; DSP; Woven Threads trim and sequins.
Monday
On Monday, as has become our custom, we CASE’d the catalogue to create this Seaside Spray card with its embossed frame.
The background was heat embossed with white embossing powder and a Seaside Spray watercolour wash painted over the top.
The thread that is wrapped around the card was pulled from the Woven Thread trim. It has a luxurious soft feel to it.
Thursday
During Thursday’s Live we took to playing with paper. We investigated a couple of different techniques to incorporate some beautiful DSP into your projects.
I do enjoy playing around with paper in this way and our DSP, especially the subtly patterned ones, lend themselves really well to projects like this.
You’ll find lots of tutorials and templates for these techniques on line. The wonder of Google! And experiment with different patterns of paper. You could even stamp your own patterns on paper – or I wonder what our coloured vellum would be like if it was embossed. Oh the possibilities!
