Today’s post is sharing a monochrome birthday easel card using the Queen Bee Bundle.
This project is to celebrate the launch of the latest Festive Friday Challenge, which this time is celebrating “National Eat What You Want Day”. This is coming up on May 11th. using this foodie day as our inspiration, the Design Team have brought together the Inspo List.
The Inspo List is 10 items you can choose from to create your project in our card making and paper crafting challenge. Incorporate THREE of the items in your project and link up! And guess what? Your project doesn’t have to be about the theme at all! The selected festivity is just a unique way to come up with a fun and interesting inspiration list!
My project used: Die Cuts, Easel Card and Gingham.
A Monochrome Birthday Easel Card
The Queen Bee Bundle consists of a Red Rubber Cling Mount stamp set and coordinating dies.
You can see a full list of the products I have used at the end of the post, including links to my online shop.
The Easel Card
To create the easel card, take a 14.9cm x 21cm piece of Thick Basic White cardstock, fold in half to create the base and then fold the front panel in half again.
Panels of Mint Macaron card and Designer Series paper have been added to the base and front facing panel of the card. Some Mint Macaron ribbon has been wrapped around the base panel and a knot tied around it.
Die cut one large and two smaller die cut circles from Mint Macaron card and then slightly smaller stitched circles in white and Designer Series paper.
Use the script stamp to add detail to the stitched white circle, then add a stamped and die cut bee with dimensionals. The Happy Birthday is also raised up with dimensionals.
Some iridescent Rhinestones were used to embellish the card.
Let’s Hop
I hope you have enjoyed my project. Do leave a comment if you can, because it certainly makes my day. Then it is time to hop around all the other projects
How Can I Help?
Mint Macaron is one of the colours that is going to be retiring with the end of the Annual Catalogue, so it was nice to have a final play with it.
I hope you have been inspired to get creative and join us for the Festive Friday Challenge.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if I can help with your purchases, or if you have a crafty question.
Meanwhile stay safe and stay well
