I’m delighted to share a peachy inside out technique card with you. Each month I take part in a Blog/Newsletter Co-Op. A group of demonstrators share projects, articles and inspiration that we then share with our followers. Fellow Demonstrator Bobbie Ganley created this pretty card with its clever inside out feature.
This technique has die cuts/punched images inside the card but they appear on the outside of the card when the card is lying flat and unopened. This technique works best if you have a stamp set and coordinating die or punch.
The “Sweet As A Peach” stamp set and coordinating Peach dies were used. This bundle is currently available as a bundle (with a 10% discount).
Instructions for A Peachy Inside Out Technique Card
1. Firstly, create the card front image, without adding final embellishments. Die cut or punch out the locations where the images will be placed. When several layers are part of the card front, it may be easier to do the layers in stages. For this card, cut the peach holes first in the Early Espresso card stock & “You’re a Peach” Designer Series Paper layer. Then adhere that piece to the Calypso Coral card base and repeat the process.
2. Stamp the images that match the die cuts/punches. Trim the images slightly, if needed, so that they will easily fit into the die cut holes as the card is opened and closed.
3. Add Dimensionals to the stamped, cut out images. Place images in openings with card lying flat and adhere to inside of card. In this sample, the Basic White card stock was adhered to the inside and post-it-note masks were placed where the peaches would be. The leaves and sentiment were stamped, before adding the stamped and die cut peaches.
4. Finally, complete the card front with desired embellishments. This card also uses other Stampin’ up dies:
- the Scalloped Contours dies set for the label
- the Penned Flowers die set for the scalloped border.
How Can I Help?
I think, without a doubt, Bobbie created a really cute card. This “You’re a Peach” suite is simply gorgeous. I haven’t started playing with mine yet, but I don’t think I will be waiting much longer!
Stay safe and Stay Well
