A Shaped Window Card

For today’s post I have created a shaped window card.

This card is my contribution to the Design Team’s selection for the latest Festive Friday Challenge, which is celebrating National Wine Day.

We have used this occasion to come up with a list of elements that we call our Inspo List.

The Inspo List is 10 items you can choose from to create your project in our card making and paper crafting challenge. Incorporate THREE of the items in your project and link up! And guess what? Your project doesn’t have to be about the theme at all! The selected festivity is just a unique way to come up with a fun and interesting inspiration list!

My project used: red, white and acetate windows. The die I used to cut the aperture had stitched edges – but they are on the bit I didn’t use, so don’t think that counts!

I used a Basis White tent fold card, with a red mat on top which has had an aperture cut in it using the Nested Essentials Dies. This aperture has been backed with a piece of Window Sheet. Around the window has been stamped with dots from the Elements of Text stamp. The flower was stamped and die cut using the Gallery Blooms bundle and was coloured with Real Red, Old Olive and Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blends. The black and red butterflies were cut using Beautiful Butterflies dies. The sentiment comes from the Unbounded Love set.

The insert features an embossed layer using the Exposed Brick folder. I used a Blending Brush and some Smoky Slate ink to go over the top of the embossing to help the detail pop.
