For today’s post I have created a small one sheet wonder from patterned paper using the Butterfly Kisses Suite.
One Sheet Wonders is the theme for this month’s Technique Tuesday Blog Hop from the Crafty Collaboration community, so there will be lots of variety as you hop around.
A Small One Sheet Wonder from Patterned Paper
The Butterfly Kisses Suite is so vibrant and fun, that I decided to play with papers and products from it for my One Sheet wonder cards. They certainly make a change from all the Christmas, Halloween and Autumn cards that I seem to be making at the moment.
I choose this pretty floral paper from the Butterfly Kisses Designer Series paper to use for my One Sheet Wonder. For each of the five cards, I used Notecards, so I thought the small print would work well used in small sections.
This is the template I used to cut up my paper. The measurements are provided in both metric and imperial. This is a guide and not correct to scale.
You can see how that paper looks once it has been cut according to the template.
The Decorated Notecards
This card uses the paper strip C, backed with some Calypso Coral card and some twine tied around it. The sentiment and butterfly are stamped directly onto the notecard and some Glossy Dots.
The Love card uses strip B. It has been trimmed to 10cm long and the 3.7cm piece was turned over, cut in half along its length and used underneath the larger strip top and bottom. Some dots from the Best Butterfly stamp set were added in opposite corners. The sentiment was added with dimensionals and some small die cut flowers added under each corner and a bow made of twine.
The two die cut butterflies are sitting on piece E. The sentiment was stamped in Parakeet party on a strip of Basic White and the card was embellished with a twine bow and some Fun Flower Resin shapes.
Strip A was torn in half and the two pieces laid on the front of a note card. Each one showing a different side of the paper. A stamped and torn strip of Crushed Curry card was added across the front. A double bow of twine and a die cut butterfly were added. A few resin flowers were scattered about.
The last card features piece D on a Fresh Freesia mat with another die cut butterfly, a sentiment and some Resin Flowers.
These cards are all quick and easy to make and could be bundled together to create a gift.
Let’s Hop
I hope you have enjoyed my project. Do leave a comment if you can, because it certainly makes my day. Then it is time to hop around all the other projects
How Can I Help?
By using our beautiful Designer Series Paper and cutting it up, a One Sheet Wonder is a great way of creating a bundle of quick cards.
My customers always enjoy classes where we start with a blank sheet of card and create our own backgrounds to cut up. We have a festive One Sheet Wonder class on 28th October.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if I can help with your purchases, or if you have a crafty question.
Meanwhile stay safe and stay well
