Today I would like to share a snow globe Christmas card with you.
It may be Easter Saturday, but as it is also the first Saturday of the month, it is time to for the Stampin’ for Christmas blog hop. This hop is intended to inspire you to make a few Christmas cards each month, to avoid a franctic rush in mid-December.
Because we are also in the period of the Stampin’ Up year when we are getting ready for a new catalogue, I thought I would focus on a “Last Chance” stamp set. If you don’t yet have this stamp set in your collection, you might want to add it to your basket quick. There are a couple of videos on my You Tube channel here and here looking at some different projects, including some non-Christmas ideas.

Instructions
- Fold the card base on the score line .
- Stamp the globe and the stand onto the Basic White card with Memento ink. Stamp the house in the the globe and add some snow with Balmy Blue ink. Die cut the shapes.
- Using the Stampin’ Blends, colour the images.
- Tap the base section all over with Versamark and heat emboss with Clear Stampin’ Emboss powder. Do the same with the globe section, but this time repeat the process to give a double layer of embossing.
- Emboss the Basic White layer with the Pinewood planks Embossing Folder (another retiring item). If it has already gone, you could use an alternative.
- Tear the card on all 4 sides and then using the blending brush and Balmy Blue ink, add some shading around the edges.
- Stick this embossed panel to the Old Olive panel. Wrap some ribbon around the mat and attach to the back with tear & tape. Stick both mats to the card base. This Old Olive ribbon was from my retired stash, but you could always colour ribbon with your Stampin’ Blends.
- Stick the snow globe in place. . I added multipurpose liquid glue to the globe section and then after placing it on the card front, I weighted it down with some blocks, to ensure it adhered flat.
- Adhere the base of the snow globe with dimensionals.
- Stamp the sentiment on the small piece of Basic White with Cherry Cobbler ink and layer onto the Old Olive card stock. Add to the card front with dimensionals and add a bow with glue dots.
- Finish the card front with clear epoxy drops.
- Add a Basic White layer to the inside of the card.
