Today I am sharing a starting school card which I have created for my Grandson who is about to embark on this adventure.
A Starting School Card

Pacific Point/ Mango Melody Poppy Parade | 4.5cm x 4.5 square of each | 1 3/4″ x 1 3/4″ square of each |
Instructions For A Starting School Card
- Fold the card base along the score line.
- Stick the Pacific Point mat to the card base.
- Stamp some splatters from the Sale-a-Bration set ” Textures and Frames” onto the black card with White craft Ink, then stick this mat to the card base.
- Take the 3 coloured squares and using the paper trimmer, score an inner box 0.5cm / 1/4″ in from each edge.
- Stick the two outside boxes directly to the card base and use dimensionals to lift the centre box.
- Using the Playful Alphabet Dies, die cut A, B and C from the same colours of card.
- Using the Hippo happiness stamps, stamp a hippo, sheep and horse. These are two step stamping, so I stamped off the larger background image to give a paler colour. The facial features were stamped in black
- Stick the animals on top of the boxes, again raising up the centre one. Stick the letters to the front of the boxes.
- Stamp the sentiments onto Basic White card and back with coloured card, before attaching to the card front. The grandson sentiment was from the “A Grand Kid” stamp set and I also used the ” so proud of you” sentiment from this set for the inside of the card.
Let’s Hop
I hope you have enjoyed my project. Do leave a comment if you can, because it certainly makes my day. Then it is time to hop around all the other projects
How Can I help?
All that remains for me to do now is to fill this card with my love and pop it in the postbox so it arrives in time for that all important first day of school.
I hope all the young people in your life have a smooth transition into a new school year
Stay safe and stay well
Helen xx
