I just wanted to pop in and tell you about a team to be proud of.
In a few weeks time, I will be celebrating 8 years as a Stampin’ Up Demonstrator. Over the years I have slowly built up a small team of crafters in my team. Some people have come and gone. Some have gone and come back. Each one of them is different and view their role in the family in a different way. But they are all loved and valued and a blessing to me.
All So Different
Some of the team run paid classes for other people.
Others gather together and gather others together to craft and to chat socially.
Some make cards for other people, either to sell, or to donate as part of their charitable giving.,
Some use their craft as therapy and it is much needed downtime from stressful daily activities.
For nearly all of them it is a bit of a mixture of all of the above. I have teamies who have run a class, that never believed they would. I have some who are taking orders for multiple bespoke cards. Some have a burgeoning little business and others just delight in their discount.
Yet The Same
They do, however all have one thing in common. That is the support, care and enthusiasm they show to each other. We have a team Whats app chat. It may be quiet for a day or two, then someone will post something and it bursts to life as they applaud successes, wow at creativity and commiserate over life’s little niggles. Whether it is cooing over grandchildren, oohing over projects created or sending out love and care to those who are feeling under the weather, this little group of people, who have not all met in person, share something special from their homes all around the UK.
I know this sense of community is not unique to my team, it is a sense of community that is duplicated around the Stampin’ Up world, but I have the privilege and delight to be a part of this small, caring community that we call the Love-a-Ducklings.
