Today I am sharing three cards I created as a result of a trio of card challenges that we had at a Stamp Camp event earlier in the year.
I am part of the Creativity Abounds team and several times a year we pick a Suite of products and host an event. Those who join us, purchase the chosen Suite and then receive 26 ideas for projects to create with the products.
A Trio of Card Challenges
As part of the Exclusive Facebook Group, we are issued with 3 challenges and these are the cards I created.
A Sketch Challenge
The Suite we were using for this Stamp Camp was the By the Bay Suite and this is the first of two challenge cards I created using the Suite.
I turned the sketch around 90 degrees to create a landscape card. Different patterns of DSP were used to create the layers and then a die cut bird from the papers was added, along with a sentiment and some of the Flat Backed Pearls from the Suite.
A Colour Challenge
I again used the stamps from the suite to create this card, but with a very different colour palette. I used a masking technique to create the central panel of seashells and sand. I love the use of bright colours which shows the diversity of the stamp set.
A Theme Challenge
The final card was a theme challenge and I was inspired by the black and white images on the challenge board to create a black and white card. the foliage was heat embossed in white onto black cardstock using the Botanical Layers stamp set.
I love the dramatic effect you achieve using black and white.
