I’m a bit later than usual putting up the round up of Facebook Loves from last week – but then everything ended up being delayed last week due to my broken phone disaster. You don’t realise how much you rely on these little pieces of technology until suddenly they are gone.
The suite of products we were focusing on last week was the Tropical Oasis suite and as always. we found lots to do with it and tested its versatility.
Tuesday
Because of the Bank Holiday, Tuesday was our first visit of the week to this product.
We dipped into rhe catalogue to find some samples to CASE. There was such a range of tempting projects to choose from that we picked three to re-create.
There were so many layers and elements to this card. The soft water coloured blooms sat on a Rich Razzleberry background made up of lots of die cut flowers
Water colour pencils were the colouring medium on this embossed peep hole card.
This more masculine card featured Designer Series Paper and distressed edges. along with a cork embellishment.
You can see all these cards being created here via my You Tube channel:
Friday
It was Friday this week before we got another chance to play with these products.
We created two very different cards.
For the first one, we had great fun with sponges, daubers and water coloured pencils, adding shading and colour to our pineapple die cut.
For the second card, we were able to create something with an autumnal feel. The background paper was wembossed and then sanded to give it a distress look. The Old Olive paper was torn and inked. This leaf stamp is such a beautiful, detailed image. As well as the die cut leaves on the front, the stamp was also used to create an all over print in the background.
Saturday
Very unusually, I came in on both Saturday and Sunday so we could make up for missed playtime earlier in the week.
Two very different cards and some fun techniques.
For the first I white embossed on both coloured and white vellum and used watercolour pencils and embossing tools for shading.
For this second little pair of cards I used some clusters of flowers cut from the Designer Series and the Floating Die Technique
Sunday
Our last visit to this suite of products this week saw us playing with the Memory and More pack.
I teamed this gorgeous pack of cards with a pack of the Assorted Memory and More cards and envelopes to create today’s projects. What a fabulous and useful combination they are.
We started with a couple of nice quick and easy cards, created by combining small and large cards, adding in some stickers, cardstock and embellishments.
Supplies
I think there can be no doubt that this suite of products has huge versatility and it has been a joy to work with this week.
As always, you can get yours by popping it ito your basket from the links below, if you are here in the UK. I would be delighted to support you in your crafting as your demonstrator.
Have fun with your crafting, whatever you have on your desk.
