I’m sharing how I created a wildly flowering layered squash card in my post today.
Stamp Around UK Video Hop
On the 1st of each month a Video Hop launces over on You Tube featuring a selection of UK Demonstrators. I am delighted to be a part of this talented team.
This month the theme is In Colors and I opted for the 2023-2025 In Colors. I used the Wildly Flowering Suite, because these beautiful papers are bursting with these colours.
You can see a full list of the products I have used at the end of the post, including links to my online shop.
A Wildly Flowering Layered Squash Card
To create this card you simply start with 3 squares of card – 20cm, 15cm and 10cm (or 8″, 6″ and 4″) They are then scored in half on both edges and then diagonally on just one side. Once those score lines are all burnished and folded, you get these 4 pop-up pieces. All you need to do then is decorate them.
I used the Wildly Flowering DSP for my mats. for each piece you need 4 squares . The sizes are 9.5cm, 7cm and 4.5cm (3 3/4″, 2 3/4″1 3/4″). For each layer, one of the pieces needs cutting in half diagonally to create the triangular pieces and you may want to chose a different pattern for this piece..
For the top piece I punched a hole and threaded some Pebbled Path Jute trim through it as a pull up loop. I did this before adding the square of paper underneath, so the stuck down ends of the trim were hidden.
I stamped and coloured some of the wildflower images from the Wildflower designs bundle and die cut them. I also die cut some of the labels and frames from the die set. These were all used, alongside a fussy cut sentiment to decorate the inside panels.
The three pieces are folded up and stuck on top of each other to create this fun fancy fold design. The card was finished off with some of the Adhesive Backed Textured Dots and a bow of the Jute trim tied around the loop on the top.

How Can I Help?
I hope you have enjoyed this project. These papers are so beautiful. We used them in a class a few weeks ago to create a stunning memory book.
If you are interested in the instructions for this album, it is available for purchase in my download store, but is only available with metric measurements.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if I can help with your purchases, or if you have a crafty question.
Meanwhile stay safe and stay well
