In this card I have been adding texture with an embossing folder. This Christmas card is my project for the latest Festive Friday Challenge.
This challenge is celebrating International Dog Day , which is happening on 26th August. Whether you are a dog person, a cat person or don’t have any furry friends, you can join us in the challenge. As always the design team have used the theme to draw up a list of elements to use in your project.
The Inspo List is 10 items you can choose from to create your project in our card making and paper crafting challenge. Incorporate THREE of the items in your project and link up! And guess what? Your project doesn’t have to be about the theme at all! The selected festivity is just a unique way to come up with a fun and interesting inspiration list!
My project used: dog, twine, texture
Adding Texture with an Embossing Folder
For this card I used the Christmas Scottie bundle from Stampin’ Up to create my canine themed Christmas Card.
The background paper comes from the Rings of Love pack, which is a Sale-a-Bration item. The doges were punched from coordinating cardstock and were then embossed with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder. This gave them a textured furry look.
Each dog is bedecked with a linen thread bow. The sentiments are all stamped in Evening Evergreen ink. I particularly love the “woof”
This is such a fun little card and perfect for dog loving friends.

Cute! Cute! Cute, Helen! I love the texture you have given these wee beasties. The colors of the Scotties are absolutely amazing with this designer paper. The twine bows are the perfect accents. It’s such a festive holiday card!

Helen, i love the texture you captured on your fun scottties and I love that you didn’t go with black and die cut them in such fun colors. Fabulous card
