I thought I would join in some challenge fun again today and Tic Tac Toe challenges are always fun.

My Card

I decided to go for the bottom line of the grid:

  • Yellow
  • Designer Paper
  • Rhinestones

The Designer Series Paper I picked was the Bird Ballad papers. It has been a while since I have played with these and they are still utterly gorgeous. I picked the Daffodil Delight piece with the bird footprints on it and I teamed this with the Old Olive piece that features keys.

Taking the leaves from the”Free as a Bird” stamp set, I stamped onto the yellow paper with Old Olive ink and used a blender pen to add some extra ink to them to colour in. I stamped two more leaves onto a separate scrap of the same paper and coloured them. I then fussy cut these out – they are quite delicate in places.

Whilst I had my scissors handy, I also fussy cut some birds and flowers from other sheets of paper in the set and a banner from the “key” paper

I used a Daffodil Delight card base to layer my papers onto. Using dimensionals, I arranged my cut images onto the card. Before attaching my banner, I wrapped some linen thread a few times around the banner and then tied one of the bird ballad trinkets on.

I stamped the sentiment onto Daffodil Delight card stock and gave it an Old Olive mat. This was then attached with dimensionals.

Of course I needed to add some rhinestones. I took my dark Old Olive Stampin’ Blend and coloured three basic rhinestones, before adding those to the card front.

It was good to get to play with these papers again. Do check out what others have done with this grid full of inspiration – and why not have a go yourself. You can see all the details here
