All Wrapped Up Suite – Two Beautiful Handmade Cards with Bows and Festive Greenery

Welcome back to another Live from the Lilypad! This week I’ve been exploring the gorgeous All Wrapped Up Suite Collection from Stampin’ Up!, and I think you’re going to love the beautiful possibilities this collection offers.

With Christmas crafting well underway, it seemed the perfect opportunity to introduce October’s featured Suite Spotlight Club collection and create a couple of projects to show off some of its lovely elements.

We created two very different cards during the Live. One features delicate festive foliage, silver embossing and a little sparkle, while the other celebrates an absolutely gorgeous oversized bow!

And the wonderful thing about this suite? Although it’s perfect for Christmas, there’s plenty here to enjoy all year round.

Let’s Take a Look at the All Wrapped Up Suite

This is a particularly lovely collection because it includes not one, but two coordinating stamp and die bundles.

The Elegantly Wrapped Bundle focuses on bows, with a variety of stamped designs, useful greetings and dies, including an impressive oversized bow with beautiful embossed detailing.

The Wrapped Up Greenery Bundle brings us delicate foliage, berries and coordinating dies, perfect for Christmas cards, wreaths, gift tags and much more.

And then there’s the beautiful Specialty Designer Series Paper!

This paper is rather different from the usual DSP. It’s a wonderfully sturdy, single-sided specialty paper with gorgeous silver foil detailing. As well as being ideal for cards, it would make fabulous gift boxes, bags and home décor projects.

The colour palette includes Cherry Cobbler, Cloud Cover, Lost Lagoon, Misty Moonlight, Peaceful Pine, Pool Party, Real Red, Secret Sea and silver.

Add the lovely striped Cherry Cobbler ribbon and sparkling sequins, and there’s so much to play with!

Card One – Sending Christmas Cheer

For our first project, I wanted to concentrate on the beautiful foliage stamps and dies from the Wrapped Up Greenery Bundle.

I started with a Secret Sea card base, cut at 14.85 cm × 21 cm and scored at 10.5 cm, creating a landscape card.

I added a 14.4 cm × 10 cm panel of the gorgeous silver-foiled foliage Specialty Designer Series Paper.

The focal point is a collection of stamped, embossed and die-cut foliage, layered onto a Basic White label cut using the fourth-largest die from the Beautifully Celebrated Dies.

Creating the foliage

I began by gently blending Cloud Cover ink onto the centre of the white label, leaving the edges lighter. This takes away the stark whiteness and gives everything a soft, frosty appearance.

Then it was time to get stamping!

I created several different types of foliage:

• Silver embossed foliage: Stamped with Versamark ink, sprinkled with silver embossing powder and heated to create a beautifully shimmering branch.
• Lost Lagoon foliage: Stamped in Lost Lagoon ink and lightly coloured using a Dark Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blend for a delicate, icy green appearance.
• Peaceful Pine foliage: Stamped in Peaceful Pine and coloured to give a richer green contrast.
• Cloud Cover sprigs: Stamped in this lovely soft blue-grey shade, with Cherry Cobbler berries added using the coordinating two-step stamp.

Once everything was stamped, I used the matching dies to cut out the various pieces.

I arranged the foliage around the label, tucking some pieces behind others to create a full, natural-looking display.

I also trimmed the stems where necessary so the foliage would sit neatly within the card.

Adding the finishing touches

Before attaching the foliage, I added a length of the beautiful Cherry Cobbler striped ribbon across the card front, securing it behind the patterned panel with Tear & Tape.

The foliage was then layered onto the label with Multipurpose Liquid Glue, and Stampin’ Dimensionals gave the finished arrangement a little height.

To bring everything together, I stamped a small striped bow from the Elegantly Wrapped stamp set, coloured it with a Light Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blend and cut it out with the coordinating die.

I added a little Wink of Stella to the bow and berries to complement the silver foiling in the paper and the heat-embossed foliage.

Finally, I added the ‘Sending Christmas Cheer’ sentiment from the Scalloped Christmas Cheer Bundle, stamped in Cherry Cobbler on a narrow strip of Basic White cardstock.

The finished card has a lovely combination of soft winter colours, rich festive reds and beautiful silver sparkle.

And although there’s quite a lot going on in the arrangement, those softly coloured leaves help keep everything feeling light and delicate.

Card Two – With Love and a Beautiful Big Bow!

For our second card, I wanted to demonstrate one of the standout dies from the Elegantly Wrapped Bundle.

This gorgeous oversized bow has so much detail, with embossed patterns built right into the die-cut pieces.

It’s an impressive focal point without needing lots of additional decoration.

Creating the large bow

I started by cutting the main bow pieces, two ribbon tails and centre piece from Cherry Cobbler cardstock.

The die creates some wonderful embossed detail, but because everything is cut from the same colour cardstock, some of that texture can be a little difficult to see initially.

My solution was to use a blending brush to add Cherry Cobbler ink around the edges and over some of the embossed areas.

This gives the bow additional depth and helps those gorgeous details stand out.

I then assembled the bow, attaching the tails behind the main bow and adding the little centre piece with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

I deliberately left one ribbon tail longer than the other. I rather like the slightly informal look this gives the finished design!

Creating the stamped background

The card base is Cherry Cobbler cardstock, measuring 21 cm × 14.85 cm, scored at 10.5 cm to create a portrait card.

For the background, I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock measuring 10 cm × 14.4 cm.

Using one of the smaller bow stamps from Elegantly Wrapped, I stamped randomly across the panel in Cherry Cobbler ink.

I made sure some of the bows extended beyond the edges of the panel, creating the effect of a continuous patterned background.

It’s such an easy way to create your own coordinating Designer Series Paper, using just stamps, ink and cardstock.

A simple embossed sentiment

I cut a strip of Cherry Cobbler cardstock measuring approximately 10 cm × 3 cm.

I stamped the ‘With Love’ sentiment from Elegantly Wrapped using Versamark ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

The crisp white lettering really stands out against the deep Cherry Cobbler background.

I attached the strip across the lower section of the card, then positioned the oversized bow above it.

I used just enough adhesive to hold the bow in place while allowing the loops and tails to retain some movement and dimension.

A few red sequins from the suite completed the design, including one in the centre of the bow.

The result is bold, elegant and surprisingly straightforward to create.

And because the sentiment simply says With Love, this card could be used for so much more than Christmas. Imagine it for an anniversary, birthday, wedding or even Valentine’s Day!

One Suite, So Many Possibilities

What I particularly love about these two projects is how differently we’ve used the same suite.

Our first card is full of delicate layers, stamping, colouring, heat embossing and beautiful metallic details.

Our second card uses a limited colour palette and a single statement die-cut to create something quite dramatic.

Both cards demonstrate just how versatile the All Wrapped Up Suite can be.

And these projects are really only the beginning!
