On this recent live we created two cards using Black Ice and Water Colour techniques

The Delicate Dahlia Stamp set and two cards using black ice and water colour techniques

The stamp set I used is Delicate Dahlias. This is one of the items that you will find in the new Sale-a-Bration brochure. These are all “money can’t buy” products. You can get them as a free gift with a qualifying purchase. This gorgeous two step stamps set can be yours with a £90 order (or equivalent elsewhere in the world).

My Cards With Black Ice and Water Colour Techniques

One stamp set and two techniques - water colour and black ice

During my live I wanted to explore some of the different looks you can achieve with this stamp set. For both of my techniques, I used the outline stamp in the set.

However, I also wanted to quickly see how the solid stamps looked, so we simply stamped the flowers and the leaves onto a piece of card. How stunning is the detail in this flower. That was literally ink it up and stamp.

Water Colour Dahlia Card

A sympathy card using a water colour technique and the Delicate Dahlia stamp set from Stampin' Up!

This first card is stamped onto Shimmery White cardstock with Stazon ink. I used water painters and Blackberry Bliss, Bumblebee, Evening Evergreen and Misty Moonlight ink to paint this sympathy card.

Black Ice Dahlia Card

the Delicate dahlia stamp set from Stampin' Up was used in this Black ice technique card.

For this second card I decided to use the Black Ice technique. It has been a while since I’ve used this technique and I had been talking about it on a technique class recently. I used the returning Brushed Metallic Cardstock for my background.

The black ice technique give the card such tuchnique. Colour was added with stampin' blends.

This technique gives such a fabulous textured finish.

Three different looks with the Delicate Dahlia stamp set from Stampin' up

I hope I have given you some inspiration if you have this stamp set. If you don’t have it yet, I’m sure you are going to want it.

If you would like to see another card using this stamp set, you can find one on this earlier post.

As always, don’t hesitate to get in touch if I can help in any way.
