The colour challenge over at The Paper Players this week was to use black, white and one other colour

Which colour?

After some thoughts about what colour and what products I would use, my final design used Gorgeous Grape.

I decided I would like to use the Tropical Chic stamp set and matching dies to create my card.

The card base was gorgeous grape, as were the flowers that I added, It was embellished with gorgeous grape striped ribbon and some rhinestones from the noble peacock collection.

I die cut leaves from the whisper white mat and then stuck them back in place when I mounted them on a black card mat.

I added black fern leaves and also some fern leaves cut from vellum.

The sentiment “You are the greatest” seemed appropriate on this morning that sees lots of young people in the UK getting their exam results. I had also just listened to a Thought for the day on the radio that had expressed that we all have important roles to play, however insignificant we feel.
