Instructions

  • Fold card base on score line.
  • Score the other piece of Blackberry Bliss at 1cm / 1/2″ on the short line. Fold and burnish. This will create the front flap. Die cut the foliage shape from the front flap.
  • Using the Basic Border dies, die cut the opposite side of this piece of Blackberry Bliss card . Die cut the DSP for the front flap with the same die. Stick the paper to the cardstock and trim off any excess. Take a 25cm/10″ piece of Gold Ribbon and lay it across the centre of the back of the card base. Attach it with some tear and tape right on the edge , nearest the fold.
  • Lay the front flap across the front of the card base and fold the scored flap around to the back of the card. Put some adhesive along the fold on the front panel and attach this to the back of the card base, covering the tape on the ribbon.
  • Stick a 16cm / 6 1/2″ piece of ribbon the back of the front flap with some tear and tape. Cover the end of the ribbon and the tape with an oddment of Blackberry Bliss cardstock.
  • Stick the other layer of DSP to the next flap.
  • Stamp the foliage in Blackberry Bliss onto some Very Vanilla cardstock. Using an Old Olive watercolour pencil, add some colour to the stems and using a Blending Brush, add some Blackberry Bliss shading to the top. Die cut this piece and trim slightly around the edge.
  • Close the card up. Add dimensionals to the back of the die cut foliage and fix it in the aperture.
  • Gold Heat emboss two birds on Very Vanilla cardstock. Die cut them and die cut 2 Blackberry Bliss bird shapes. Use these to create a slight shadow behind the gold embossed birds.
  • Gold emboss the greeting for the front on Blackberry Bliss cardstock. Stamp the greeting for inside on Very Vanilla cardstock with Blackberry Bliss ink.
  • Stick the greetings in place with liquid adhesive and raise the birds up with dimensionals.
  • Stamp the foliage in Blackberry Bliss ink on the Very vanilla panel before attaching it to the inside of the card.
