Card Inspiration with the Flowering Cactus.

Are you looking for card inspiration with the Flowering Cactus Product Medley kit? There is just so much to love about the latest of Stampin’ Up’s Product Medleys.

These boxes come packed with everything you need to create fabulous projects. Everything except instructions. Although they are part of our kit range, these Product Medleys are designed to allow you to let your creativity flow.

The Flowering Cactus Kit

Look inside your Flowering Cactus box (pg.9 of the mini catalogue) and you will find 48 sheets of 6” x 6”, double sided Designer Series paper. You get 8 sheets of each of the 6 different double-sided designs. One of the sheets contains images that you will be able to die cut.

The colour palette for these papers is beautiful and fresh.

Also included in your kit is a full-size photopolymer stamp set in a case. The stamp set features images of cacti and blossoms, as well as some great sentiments. How appropriate at the moment are the sentiments:

“Life can get kinda prickly” and “I’m always here for you.”

To go with the stamp set is a collection of coordinating dies. Some dies cut the stamped images, others provide embossed details and additional highlights.

Of course, no product medley is complete without some great embellishments and this one doesn’t disappoint. The two reels of linen thread are so useful. Both reels are 10 yards long and they come in Calypso Coral and Natural. You also get 8 sheets of die cut felt flowers – 4 in Calypso Coral and 4 in Highland Heather. These adorable little felt blossoms have white stitched detail. You are going to love them.

Obviously the other great thing about the Product Medley kits, is the ability to purchase a refill kit. Once you get playing, you are soon going to find yourself wanting more of the paper, twine and felt flowers and that is just what is provided in your refill kit.

Card Inspiration with the Flowering Cactus

To really appreciate the beauty of this kit, you need to see some card inspiration with the Flowering cactus products. Here are a couple of cards that have been CASE’d from the samples in the mini catalogue. Remember, the catalogue isn’t just a shopping tool, it is also a fabulous resource, packed with creative inspiration.

The cactus on this first Mossy Meadow card has been die cut from the Designer Series Paper, with felt flowers added. The small “prickles” die has been cut into the Mossy Meadow Card. The background of the circle was coloured with Crumb Cake and Seaside Spray Stampin’ Blends.

On this second card, you can see the beautiful Designer Series Paper in the background and the detail from the embossing die on the Calypso Coral banner. I have stamped and die cut these flowers.
