I just loved creating cards for gardeners with the Flowering Rain Boots bundle from Stampin’ Up on a recent Live.
The bundle consists of a photopolymer stamp and a coordinating die set. As well as cutting out the stamped images, there is also a dies that creates an interesting trellis piece to add to your projects.
My Cards for Gardeners
This first card has a background created from all over stamping with the seed packet image. No extra colour has been added to any of the stamped images, because this shaded effect is created by the stamp itself. I die cut the tulip heads and raised them up on dimensionals. To soften the white some blending was added in the background on both the scalloped rectangle and the seed packet background.
This second card used more of the dies to cut out stamped images. I stamped the tulips directly onto the scalloped rectangle. Then the other pieces were layered over the top to create the garden scene.
I love this “Live Life in Full Bloom” sentiment, which I cut into sections. Finally the card was embellished with Brushed Brass Butterflies. Find these in the January-June mini catalogue.
