Today I am sharing some cards for spring as part of the Tech 4 Stampers Blog Hop
We are a group of Demonstrators, led by Louise, seeking to learn, implement and improve our use of technology and online resources in our businesses.
The theme for the hop this month was spring and I chose to use the Nested Friends Bundle
Cards for Spring
This gorgeous bundle features, what I believe are some of the nicest nests available in the papercraft world. Whether you are using the stamps or the dies, the detail is amazing.
Brushstrokes Bird
For this first card I teamed the stamped nest with some of the stunning Blushing Bride Brushstrokes Speciality paper. The nest and branch were both coloured coloured by dragging out the ink from the stamped image with a Blender Pen. The little bird was stamped in Blushing Bride ink and some shading and depth of colour was added with watercolor pencils. these were also used to colour leaves.
The Old Olive mat in the background had tone on tone spots added to it and a layer of torn Vellum gave extra interest and texture.
Gingham Bird
The use of the Country Gingham =Designer Series paper in this card gives it a real country feel. the banner across the centre was shaped with the Basic Border dies.
The little eggs in the nest had Balmy Blue dots added to the cardstock before die cutting. The set of dies allows you to cut multiple small leaves in one run through of the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss, which is always a bonus.
Colour was added to this little bird using the new mini Blending Brushes. they are perfect for adding colour to small areas.
