This set of simple cards through the seasons, uses the trees from the “Beauty of the Earth” Suite from Stampin’ Up. The cards could be used individually. Or put them together and pop in a frame to create a piece of Home Decor.
The Beauty of the Earth Suite.
The Beauty of the Earth Suite
This suite contains a stamp set and coordinating die set bundle. There is also a pack of gorgeous Designer Series Papers. Some have patterns that are perfect for die cutting foliage for the trees. There are wonderful backgrounds on other sheets and images that can be used to create the main focus of the card. This suite also contains a 3D Bark Embossing Folder, which gives great texture to projects.
The Cards Through the Seasons
Spring
For the Spring card, the shorter tree trunk was stamped in Early Espresso, then some blossom was added with Blushing Bride and two step stamping. The ground and some more blossom was stamped on the bottom of the tree with Blushing Bride.
Summer
For Summer, the larger tree trunk was stamped in Early Espresso and the two step stamping used Just Jade ink. To finish, the pair of birds were die cut from Just Jade cardstock.
Autumn
Onto Autumn. This time the trunk was die cut in Early Espresso card. The detailed foliage die was then used to cut autumnal leaves from one of the Designer Series Paper sheets.
Winter
The tree needed a sprinkling of winter snow. Firstly, I die cut the smaller trunk from Early Espresso, then for the leaves I again used two step stamping. Basicly, the first layer was stamped on Basic White card in Just Jade and then the top layer used Versamark and White Embossing powder. Next, this piece was then die cut. Next, some snowflakes were stamped on the background piece and the “ground” was stamped and these were all heat embossed in white. Finally, using a Blending Brush and some Misty Moonlight, some colour was added to the background to make the snow “pop”
How Can I Help?
I hope this has inspired you to get creating with this fabulous suite.
Step up these four simple cards using ribbon, twine, embellishments and that 3D embossing folder. They would make a great set of note cards and teamed with the clever new “Days to Remember” stamp set they could create pages for a calendar.
