I enjoyed creating cards with a nautical theme on this recent Live using the Let’s Set Sail bundle.
The bundle consists of a photopolymer stamp and a coordinating punch. You can punch out both the boat and sails with this great little bundle. it is perfect for creating cards for men.
My Cards With A Nautical Theme.
This first card uses torn strips of Designer Series Paper and Vellum to give a wave effect on a further background of paper. These papers come from the 2022-2024 In Color 6″ x 6″ pack.
The yacht is stamped onto a stitched circle using Parakeet party, Sweet Sorbet and Tahitian Tide. A flock of bits and the sentiment are both stamped in Black. Twine and Decorative dots in Tahitian Tide finish this card.
This second card takes it colours from the Sun Prints Designer Series paper pack. These papers have been used in the background. This time the Orchid Oasis and Sahara Sand yachts were punched out and added to the Deckled Rectangle mat. The sea has been created by using the long water effect stamp and first and second generation stamping.
The sentiment was stamped in Starry Sky ink and cut up before adding it to the card. A swirl of linen thread gives a rope like addition to the card. The white Classic Matte Dots are scattered like clouds.
Something Different
During the Live someone asked if the large water stamp could be used for Pine Trees and so we had a play. I used the resulting images to create this fun woodland card.
