These cards with an Oriental Theme were created using the Symbols of Fortune Suite from Stampin’ Up during a recent Live.
The suite consists of a cling rubber stamp set as well as a coordinating die set. There are also Speciality Designer Series papers with Gold foiling and Mother of Pearl paper. To embellish your projects there is some gorgeous Soft Succulent Shimmer Ribbon as well as Polished dots in Calypso Coral and Very Vanilla.
This is the colour palette of the papers and when combined they give a wonderful Oriental feel to the projects.
Cards with an Oriental Theme
A Crane Card
This first card features a stamped and die cut crane. The top of the head and legs have been sponged with Calypso Coral ink. The gingko has been die cut from the gorgeous Mother of Pearl paper. These elements have then been layered up with some different patterns from the Speciality Designer Series Paper. Finally, finishing touches have been added with some gold thread and some of the Polished dots.
A Chrysanthemum Card
This second card features the chrysanthemum stamped image. The image was stamped using the stamparatus, so that the leaves could be coloured green by taking a Stampin’ Write marker direct to the stamp.
The flowers were die cut and added to a Mother of Pearl scalloped rectangle, as well as die cut Soft Succulent leaves and Evening Evergreen dragonflies.. This stunning design of paper was used as a mat on the Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen card base. A scalloped strip of coordinating Designer Series Paper was then cut using the Scalloped Contour dies.
Finally, a few more Polished Dots were added to finish.
