Pink Christmas Card

Another Christmas in July project, but this time it is for this week’s Spot Challenge. If we are going to be doing Christmas in July, let’s do it with a hot pink. There is nothing like a pink Christmas Card to ensure it stands out from the rest on the mantlepiece this December. And if you are going for a hot pink, they don’t come much hotter than the new Magenta Madness.

My Project

The Perfectly Plaid stamp set and Pine Tree punch both carried over to the Annual Catalogue from last year, so they were the perfect choice for my card. I love the fact that there is a variety of styles of tree in the stamp set and that you can also layer some up for different effects. Of course it is also handy to have the Pine Tree punch on hand to help you create a forest of trees should you wish.

I didn’t use the punch on this occasion, but instead stamped a row of these modern looking tree onto a strip of Whisper White card. Then, I added a mat of Magenta Madness and a mat of Champagne Foil. I picked the champagne foil as it has a hint of a pink hue to it.

My panel of trees were added to a card base that had a layer of Spotty In Color Designer Series paper on it. The greeting panel was also backed onto some champagne foil. before being attached over the top of the strip of ruched up magenta madness ribbon.

The finishing touch was some champagne rhinestones.

That is one very pink Christmas card.
