On a recent Live I created Christmas cards, traditional and contemporary, both of them using one suite of products from Stampin’ Up!

Two Christmas cards using the Tidings of Christmas suite, one traditional, one contemporary.

You can find the Tidings of Christmas Suite in the Annual Catalogue. The stamp and die combination allows you to create stockings and stars galore, with foliage to decorate. There is also a fabulous pack of 6″ x 6″ Designer Series papers in this suite.

Christmas Cards, Traditional and Contemporary

A traditional style card using the Tidings of Christmas suite from Stampin' Up in Cherry Cobbler and Sahara Sand

This first card uses some of the Designer Series paper and the two styles of stocking to create this card in Cherry Cobbler and Sahara Sand. One stamp creates the foliage pattern on the cardstock and conversely, the other lays down the colour leaving the pattern in the negative. The foliage I used in the these stockings was cut in Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent cardstock.

Tidings of Christmas Suite from Stampin' Up! provides the stamps, dies and Designer Series Papers for this traditional Christmas Card

This card has a warm traditional feel to it and the layered scalloped border on the bottom adds a pretty feature. The chevron Evening Evergreen ribbon also adds some nice texture to the project.

Pink and purple feature in this contemporary Christmas card using the Tidings of Christmas Suite from Stampin' Up!

The second card combines Polished Pink and Gorgeous Grape ink with silver foil and silver heat embossing to create a far more contemporary card. Blending and stamping is combined with die cuts and a nice swirl of Gorgeous Grape ribbon.

Purple and pink stars have been stamped on this insert of a Contemporary Christmas Card using products from Stampin' Up!

And of course you should never forget the inside of your cards.

How Can I Help

A traditional and a contemporary Christmas Card using Stampin' Up's Tidings of Christmas suite.

I hope I have given you some inspiration if you have this bundle. However, if you don’t have it yet, I’m sure you are going to want it.

We are going to be using this Designer Series Paper in a couple of weeks at my next technique class. How to… Have Festive Fun with DSP. If you are here in the UK you can join the class in person, or order a kit through the post.

As always, don’t hesitate to get in touch if I can help in any way.

Meanwhile stay safe and stay well
