Back in the days of face-to-face classes, we would always start our first Christmas cards in June, so starting Christmas cards in July is late for me.

There have been a couple of my Facebook lives this month that have focused on Christmas Cards.

Peaceful Boughs

Whether it is creating with the dies or the stamp sets, these co-ordinating products are perfect for Christmas cards with a natural theme.

Gold embossing, gold foil and gold thread give a touch of class to this card
The greeting used to create the background and wink of Stella added to the pine cones.
Some pearls coloured with a Stampin Blend for the finishing touch.

You can see both these cards being created here.

Snowman Season

Like the Peaceful Boughs, this cute stamp and punch combo carried over from last Christmas and it was good to get them out to play with again.

For these Christmas cards in July, I used the same basic colour palette of seaside spray and white. Both cards featured sponging with seaside spray ink.

creating a faux torn edge by sponging over a torn paper mask.
sponging the background before adding embossing paste through a mask.

To see both of these projects in more detail, watch this video.

Supplies

It has been fun to create these Christmas cards in July. Even before we really start to play with the fabulous products we know are coming in the new August – December catalogue, we are still able to create fabulous Christmas cards with these old favourites. Are you starting with your Christmas cards?

If you would like one of the new August- December mini catalogues, make sure to request one.

Have fun with your crafting.

Stay safe and stay well
