Today’s project explores colour coordination with Stampin’ Up! and has been created for the new Festive Friday Challenge.
This challenge #FF0112 is celebrating Alice in Wonderland day which we can look forward to on July 4th. The Design Team generated some ideas using this theme to create the Inspo List.
The Inspo List is 10 items you can choose from to create your project in our card making and paper crafting challenge. Incorporate THREE of the items in your project and link up! And guess what? Your project doesn’t have to be about the theme at all! The selected festivity is just a unique way to come up with a fun and interesting inspiration list!

Colour Coordination with Stampin’ Up!
Tea Cups made me instantly think of the Tea Boutique Suite in the Annual Catalogue. For a book, this lovely image of a lady snuggled up reading from the In the Moment stamp set is a favourite. I was able to tie it all together by using colours from the Designer Series papers for the stamped image and by adding coordinating embellishments. Of course colour coordination is one of the underpinning benefits of the Stampin’ Up range.
Instructions
I started with a Basic Tent Fold Fresh freesia card base. To this I added a mat of Designer Series paper from which I had die cut some heart shaped holes using dies from the Give it a Whirl set. Next, a strip of Designer Series paper was added featuring lots of tea cups. The colours in this Tea Boutique Suite are mainly the new In Colors, with a couple of extras.
The image was stamped onto a stitched square in Memento ink and then coloured with In Color Stampin’ Blends and some Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and So Saffron being used for the lady’s hair and for that very happy dog. Petal Pink was used as a skin tone.
This stamped mat was backed with some Starry Sky cardstock and added to the card front with dimensionals. The sentiment was stamped in Starry Sky ink and cut into strips before being added around the stamped image.
To finish the front, some Starry Sky Baker’s twine was tied around the top and finished with a bow. Finally each of the heart shaped holes had an Orchid Oasis Decorative Dot added.
The hearts that I cut from the Designer Series Paper were not wasted, because I used those to decorate the insert of the card.

Love your brightly colored card Helen, and such great advice!
What a #bright&happy card Helen! It reflects what I’m doing today, recovering from surgery snuggled up with my pup! Blessings, Beth 🙂
Love the combination of the DSP and the image! Very creative and I wish I had thought about using that stamp!
Such a fun and cheery card, with its awesome mix of colors, Helen! Of course, the dog mom in me loves the image you used and I totally overlooked the book. Great job with the challenge!
Love your design, your choice of color, and great advice. Great card!
How true is that sentiment!!!! Love the mix of colors, and the design, too.
