For one of today’s cards I have been demonstrating colouring direct to stamp with our Stampin’ Write markers.

Two cards using the Bottled Happiness bundle, one colouring direct to stamp and the other with 2nd generation stamping.

These two cards were both created on a recent Live and use the Bottled Happiness stamp and punch bundle.

Colouring Direct To Stamp

The flowers on this card were coloured using Stampin' Write markers and direct to stamp technique using the Bottled Happiness bundle.

For this first card, I placed the floral stamp in my Stamparatus. The Basic White mat was secured in the stamparatus with the magnets to ensure it didn’t move. You can then use the different colours of Stampin’ Write Markers to colour the different flowers, concentrating on one colour at a time. Stamp that area, repeating if necessary until you are happy with the depth of colour. You can now move on to the next colour. You don’t need to worry about cleaning your stamp between colours.

The bottle was stamped onto Basic White card and punched out with the coordinating punch. The outline of the stamp was stamped in Starry Sky ink and the inside was stamped with Starry Sky, that was first stamped off. This gave it an opaque glass look.

The Designer Series Paper came from the Sun Prints Designer Series Paper pack. These stripes are quite striking.

Second Generation Stamping

These bottles from Stampin' Up's Bottled Happiness bundle, use 2nd Generation stamping to give a opaque look.

For this second card, I used 2nd Generation stamping for the three bottles. That is simply the term for when you ink the stamp and stamp off onto scrap paper before stamping your image. Again, the outlines were stamped in the solid colour. I then stamped and fussy cut some of the wheat and a cork. These were arranged at the base of the bottles with a bow of Bakers Twine.

You can see both these cards being created on this video of my recent Live.

How Can I Help?

Two cards using Stampin' Up's Bottled happiness bundle.

I hope you have enjoyed these projects. There are lots of different stamps that benefit from being stamped on the stamparatus using direct to stamp colouring with the Stampin’ Blends. It gives the opportunity to use multiple colours on one image and to introduce shading and ombre effects.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if I can help with your purchases, or if you have a crafty question.

Meanwhile stay safe and stay well
