For today’s projects I have been colouring images to match patterned papers.

They are my contributions for the Stamping With Friends blog hop. The theme for the hop is to showcase any product from the mini / sale-a-bration catalogue. My projects feature products from both.

Colouring Images to Match Patterned Papers

The Everyday Details features a really pretty stamp set and an amazing die set that I have already been using a lot. The die set cuts rectangles and circles with dotted detail around the outside. There are also dies that cut dotted details into paper/cardstock.

To go with these images, I have used some of the paper from the Sale-a-Bration collection, Softly Stippled. This pack features a soft colour palette and pretty florals.

Creating The Cards

For this first card, the image was stamped in Saddle Brown Stazon onto die cut Fluid 100 paper and then water coloured. The neutral paper has a real textured look to it, which works beautifully with the floral print. The Linen thread also adds to the rustic feel of this card.

This linen look Pool Party Designer Series paper has had dotty detail cut into it with the Everyday Details Dies. The tea cup has been coloured with subtle coloured Stampin’ Blends to give a very pretty overall look to this card.
