Creating a Circular Card

For today’s post I have been creating a circular card.

This card is my contribution to the Design Team’s selection for the latest Festive Friday Challenge, which is celebrating National Golf Day.

We have used this occasion to come up with a list of elements that we call our Inspo List.

The Inspo List is 10 items you can choose from to create your project in our card making and paper crafting challenge. Incorporate THREE of the items in your project and link up! And guess what? Your project doesn’t have to be about the theme at all! The selected festivity is just a unique way to come up with a fun and interesting inspiration list!

My project used: green, twine, circular card, frames, plaid and grass.

Creating a Circular Card

One of the categories in this Festive Friday Challenge Inspo List was a retirement sentiment. Without searching through all my retired stamp sets I couldn’t easily put my hands on one, but I thought this “embrace the journey” sentiment was certainly fitting for someone embarking on a new phase of their life. This sentiment is from the Everyday Arches stamp set.

This project used a mixture of current, Last Chance and retired products.

The circular card and the frame were created with the now retired Deckled Circles. These staple dies are so useful, especially as they come in large sizes, so they won’t be disappearing from my craft room anytime soon.

The Plaid paper is from the Timeless Plaid pack of Designer Series Paper. The foliage is from two die sets. The larger Garden Green piece is from the Mixed Florals set and the smaller Old Olive pieces are from the Otterly Amazing set. The wonderful otters are now part of the Last Chance offering, so if you want them, make sure to snap them up soon.

Also in the Last Chance list are the Natural Tones Linen Thread and the Transparent Adhesive Backed Dots.
