Creating A Masculine Card

Today I have been creating a masculine card using the Hot Air Balloon stamps and dies.

This card is my contribution to the Design Team’s selection for the latest Festive Friday Challenge, which is celebrating Brother’s Day which is happening on May 24th.

We have used this occasion to come up with a list of elements that we call our Inspo List.

The Inspo List is 10 items you can choose from to create your project in our card making and paper crafting challenge. Incorporate THREE of the items in your project and link up! And guess what? Your project doesn’t have to be about the theme at all! The selected festivity is just a unique way to come up with a fun and interesting inspiration list!

My project used: red, black, silver, liquid pearls, embossing

Creating A Masculine Card

Because the challenge was for Brother’s Day, the colours in the Inspo list lent themselves really well to a masculine feeling card. I combined Poppy Parade with black and silver embossing.

The clouds were die cut from Basic White card, before being covered in Versamark ink and then heat embossed with silver embossing powder.

Some dotty details were added to the card using silver metallic enamel effects.

Balloons of Any Colour

Of course balloons don’t have to have a masculine feel. This card was created for a recent class. The paper is now retired, but it demonstrates that you can play with colour to make these balloons a fantastic image for any card.
