I have been creating a selection of mini cards for this Technique Tuesday Blog Hop.

Mini cards like these are quick and easy to make and are perfect for giving as small gifts. There are a variety of ways you can create boxes and bags to hold these little treasures, but I opted for a simple ribbon tied around them.

I used the Designer Series Paper and Layering Vellum from the Artfully Composed Suite to make my cards.

Creating A Selection of Mini Cards

The cards were created from Thick Basic White cardstock. Each one measures 15cm x 7.5cm, scored at 7.5cm on the long side (3″ x 6″, scored at 3″)

On to these, 7cm square and 6.5cm square pieces of the Designer Series Paper were added with the front piece being offset slightly.

Using the Artfully Layered bundle, I die cut a leaf from Evening Evergreen cardstock and the Layering Vellum. I also stamped the sentiment onto some of the Designer Series Pape with Evening Evergreen ink and cut around them.

The sentiments were stuck to the vellum leaves, which were in turn layered onto the cardstock ones, hiding the adhesive so it didn’t show. There was a glue dot under the twine bow and another under the sentiment.

The leaves were then stuck to the card bases with dimensionals.

To finish, some of the Faux sea Glass shapes we added.

The cards were tied together with a length of the Evening Evergreen Chevron Weave ribbon.

Stampin’ Up! stocks Basic White 3″ x 3″ envelopes in packs of 40, so you could make lots of these little cards to use as notelets, thank you cards or just “thinking of you” messages
