Creating An Ink Blended Background

For today’s post I have been creating an ink blended background

This card is my contribution to the Design Team’s selection for the latest Festive Friday Challenge, which is celebrating Valentine’s Day.

We have used this occasion to come up with a list of elements that we call our Inspo List.

The Inspo List is 10 items you can choose from to create your project in our card making and paper crafting challenge. Incorporate THREE of the items in your project and link up! And guess what? Your project doesn’t have to be about the theme at all! The selected festivity is just a unique way to come up with a fun and interesting inspiration list!

My project used: Pink, Lilac, Gray, Ink Blending, Die Cuts, Square Cards, Love Sentiment. Hearts

Creating An Ink Blended Background

For this card I used the cute bunnies from the Easter Basket Bundle to sit in the centre of my ink blended background. The background was created using Bubble Bath, Pretty in Pink and highland Heather blnded together. I then used some Smoky Slate ink around the edge.

Smoky Slate was also used to stamp the Love sentiment from the Layered Thoughts stamp set all over the background..

The two bunnies were stamped in memento ink and have been coloured with Smoky Skate and Pretty in Pink Stampin’ Blends. Once die cut, I have added them to a die cut circle of Vellum.

To embellish the card, I have added some white twine, wrapped round the mat and tied in a bow. The little Bubble Bath hearts have been die cut with a die from the Darling Dinos bundle and have had fine tip glue added to give them a glossy finish.

I have also used a white gel pen to doodle some hearts onto the blended background.
