Today I am showing how I have been creating cards using a colour challenge.

This colour challenge is the inspiration behind this month’s Challenge Hop from the the Crafty Collaborations community. We are a group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world who come together to share inspiration with you.

Creating Cards Using A Colour Challenge

I used two stamp sets to create my floral cards. Blessings of Home and Quiet Meadow both feature in this pretty cards. The second card also features some foiled paper from the Splendid day Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.

The Two Cards

For both cards, I heat embossed the floral images with Black Embossing powder onto Shimmery White card stock and used ink and Water painters to colour them.

For this first card I distressed the edges using the blade of my scissors. The splatters and text in the background are tone on tone and both these stamps are from the Quiet Meadow set. The sentiment was also heat embossed in black and cut into strips. some Matte Black Dots finish the card front.

The second card also features some tone on tone stamping on the Smokey Slate layer. these is then teamed with a black of Garden Green card stock and a strip of the Fresh freesia Foiled Paper. this card is embellished with a white twine bow and some iridescent rhinestones.
