I enjoyed all the creative possibilities of creating cards with patterned papers, using the Wonderful World bundle, a Sale-a-Bration offering from Stampin’ Up!
The bundle consists of a photopolymer stamp and a coordinating pack of patterned paper. This Designer Series paper is just stunning, whether you are cutting floral images out, or layering up the patterns. The stamp set features detailed flowers from around the Stampin’ Up world.
Creating Cards with Patterned Papers.
This first card is a large, 14.9cm square card, created from Thick Basic White cardstock. The striped paper in the background measures 14.4cm square. Each of the little squares of Designer Series Paper measures 4cm, each with a different flower printed on it.
The sentiment is created using the Sending Smiles Bundle. It is stamped in Starry Sky ink. A double bow of Starry Sky Baker’s twine and some Brushed Brass butterflies provide the finishing touches.
The second card is an Orchid Oasis base with some layered patterned papers on it. The topper is a flower stamped in Orchid Oasis, Starry Sky, Pear Pizzazz and Mossy Meadow, using Stampin’ Write markers coloured direct to the stamp and the Stamparatus.
The flower has been cut out with a Stitched Rectangle die, before being embellished with some Orchid Oasis Metallic Ribbon and In Color Decorative Dots.
This inside of the card is finished off with some strips of the same Designer Series Paper that was layered on the top.
