This project demonstrates creating multi tonal die cuts using Blending Brushes and the Wisteria Wishes Bundle from Stampin’ Up!

This project is one I created and demonstrated for the Crafty Collaborations Catalogue Launch party last week, so it seems fitting to be sharing it on this blog hop focusing on new products from the Annual Catalogue

I used the Wisteria Wishes Bundle for my project . This beautiful bundle consists of a Photopolymer Stamp Set and dies. These coordinating dies cut out the stamped images, but there are also some detailed dies in the set and these are what I have used for this projects.

Creating Multi Tonal Die Cuts

The layered Wisteria Wishes blooms have been cut from a piece of cardstock I have created. Using a Blending Brush, I built up a blended background in Fresh Freesia, Orchid Oasis and Gorgeous Grape. These gave the multi tonal effect to the die cut blooms and butterfly.

The two sections of the wisteria bloom were stuck together and mounted onto a brick embossed background that had also been blended, this time with Gray Granite ink. This background was stuck to a piece of Orchis Oasis cardstock and then to a Basic White card base.

The label that I have used in this project comes from the He’s All That Bundle, which is another new product. I love the different labels and banners in this set. The sentiment was stamped in Orchid Oasis ink and I used my blending brush to ink the edge of the label. There is usually enough ink left on the brush to ink the edges of a label, without having to add any more. The ribbon I have swirled across the back of my label is the new Metallic Woven ribbon, again in Orchid Oasis. To finish I have picked some of the 2022-2024 in-Color Dots. They come in an ombre of the new In Colors, so I added 3 different shades of the Orchid Oasis
