Cute Handmade Easter Bunny Basket Card with an Aperture Design

For today’s post I have created Cute Handmade Easter Bunny Basket Card with an Aperture Design

This card is my contribution to the Design Team’s selection for the latest Festive Friday Challenge, which is celebrating Piano Day.

We have used this occasion to come up with a list of elements that we call our Inspo List.

The Inspo List is 10 items you can choose from to create your project in our card making and paper crafting challenge.  Incorporate THREE of the items in your project and link up! And guess what? Your project doesn’t have to be about the theme at all!  The selected festivity is just a unique way to come up with a fun and interesting inspiration list! 

My project used: Pastel Colours, Ribbon, Aperture Card, Rabbits, Easter Eggs, Easter Greetings, Basket.

Cute Handmade Easter Bunny Basket Card with an Aperture Design

For the base of the card I chose Balmy Blue cardstock and created an aperture front using one of the Everyday Arches Dies. I love how an aperture allows the focal image to peek through the front of the card and creates a lovely dimensional effect.

I used Balmy Blue ink to add some flowers around the edge of the card..

The star of the card is the adorable bunny in an Easter basket from the Easter Basket Bundle. The basket was cut from an basket weave deism of patterned paper from the Easter Joy pack.. I coloured the bunny in Balmy Blue with Stampin’ Blends and tucked a couple of pastel decorated Easter eggs into the basket to create a sweet Easter scene.

A Balmy Blue Gingham ribbon bow adds a soft texture to the card front and ties in perfectly with the pastel colour palette. I also added a few dots for a finishing touch.

Inside the aperture, the basket scene becomes the main focal point, framed by the arch opening which helps draw the eye straight to the bunny.

This card was so much fun to make and I love how cheerful and fresh the pastel colours feel — perfect for spring and Easter crafting.
