My granddaughter loves a dandelion. Puffing on them and watching the seeds dance away like fairies on the wind. It would seem she is not alone.

This week I put a poll on my Facebook Page to ask everyone which stamp set they would like me to use in my Facebook Live on Friday. An all request Friday.

All three stamp sets had some votes, but there was a runaway winner.

The Winner

Dandelion Wishes

So as promised, I took the stamp set and we created three cards.

The Masked Oval

I used the second largest plain oval from the layered oval dies to cut a mask, then using sponge brayers I added mint macaron, coastal cabana and balmy blue ink. Using my stamparatus (it has been busy this week) to stamp the dandelions and greeting, I overlaid a second impression to give a darker look. Then I just layered the card on some coastal cabana card and a Whisper white card base and sprinkled on some rhinestones. Beautifully simple.

The Leftover Oval

We couldn’t just leave the oval that I had die cut going to waste, so I stamped the dandelion in versamark and heat embossed in silver before brayering over it with coastal cabana and balmy blue ink. The embossing, of course, resisted the ink. Give the oval a balmy blue mat and then stamp some coastal cabana dandelion “fairies” on a coastal cabana mat of card, along with a silver embossed greeting. I added another mat of balmy blue and the silver edged ribbon was coloured with a Balmy Blue stampin blend so it coordinated. The card was finished with another sprinkling of rhinestones.

That Old Black Magic

The last card used the technique known as the black magic technique – although I actually used Basic Gray cardstock. I used white embossing powder to heat emboss the images and then I took the dark Rococo Rose stampin’ blend and just added a hint of colour to the tips of the dandelions. Because the pens are alcohol markers, they will colour the embossing powder, whereas the embossing resists the stampin’ write markers or ink pads. These little spots of colour were picked up in the rococo rose mat of card and in the pearls, which were also coloured with the stampin blend marker.

All Request Friday

I think all request Friday will be back. It was fun to create these cards.
