For this blog hop I thought I would recreate an Easter Bunny Treat Box I created for my family a few years ago
My Easter Bunny Treat Box Project
Each of the little bunny’s faces/boxes will hold a small foil wrapped chocolate egg and three of the bunnies are contained in a simple box with a window sheet wrap. I used the Sea & Sand Designer Series Paper, because it has the soft, spring pastel colours I was looking for.
- Stamps: Hippo Happiness; Garden Wishes
- Tools: Paper Trimmer
- Paper/Card: Sand & Sea DSP; Blushing Bride: Seaside Spray; Window Sheets
- Ink: Memento
- Embellishments: Snail Mail Twine combo, White Crinkled Seam Binding
- Adhesives; Stampin’ Seal; Stampin’ seal+
Instructions
- Take a piece of card measuring 12.5cm x 15cm, scored on all 4 sides at 2.5cm. Snip along the 4 end score lines and stick with Stampin’ Seal+ to form a box.
- Take a piece of window sheet measuring 10.2cm x 21.4cm. Score on the long side at 7.7cm, 10.2cm’ 17.9cm and 20.4cm. Burnish well on the score lines and stick into a tube with Stampin’ Seal+
- For each of the rabbits, take a strip of DSP measuring 29.5cm x 2.5cm. Score on the long side at 5cm, 13.5cm, 16cm, 24,5cm.
- Fold the two end pieces in and stick down on the end to form ears. Fold the other score lines up to give you a flat base.
- Create the small tube for the rabbits face by taking a piece of Blushing Bride card stock measuring 11cm x 2.5cm. Score at 2.5cm, 5cm, 7.5cm and 10cm on long side. Stick into a cube. Stamp a face from the Hippo Happiness stamp set onto the front facing panel.
- Sit this little box on the flat base of the DSP, bring the ends of the DSP over the top of the box and stick the two sides together at the point they touch. Tie some Blushing Bride Twine around the base of the ears
- Put 3 rabbits into the box and slip the Window Sheet wrap over the top. Wrap some of the crinkle seam binding around the box and tie a bow. Add the greeting from the Garden Wishes set onto a piece of Blushing Bride card punched out. Punch a second label in a coordinating colour. Stick the 2 labels together and then attach to the front of the box.
