For today’s blog post I have been having some fun with some farmyard themed birthday cards.

To create my cards, I used the On the Farm bundle from the January-April Mini Catalogue. I combined it with the “Day at the Farm” Designer Series Paper, which is a current Sale-a-Bration option and you could get for free when you buy the bundle.

Happiest of Birthdays

The “Picture This” dies were used to create the stitched rectangles on this card and grass was added to the bottom of each of them with Pear Pizzazz ink.. The animals, trees and hay bale were stamped in Memento ink and coloured with Stampin’ Blends. The chickens were stamped directly onto the rectangle, but everything else was die cut before being added to the the strips.

The sentiment was from the Charming Sentiment stamp set and cut into two strips.

All of these elements were added to a Basic White card base, matted with Pear Pizzazz card and some Designer Series paper.

All Stacked Up

For this second card, I used the dies to cut animals from the Designer Series Paper, but there is no reason they couldn’t have been stamped and coloured.

These animals were all stacked on top of each other to bring these birthday greetings from “All of Us”. The ground they are standing on is stamped and coloured with Stampin’ Blends.

I do love this Cherry Cobbler paper from the Sale-a-Bration pack . It gives a bold backdrop to the central picture.

How Can I Help?

These cards would be great for children as well as any country loving adult.
