This humble little stamp set and co-ordinating punch, both available in the Sale-a-Bration brochure, may look a little uninspiring, but they are the sort of must have combination that every crafter should have in there collection.

Monday

For Monday’s Facebook I couldn’t choose between two different samples for my re-creation project. In the end I decided – what the heck – I’ll do both!

The first used Very Vanilla Card stock and Rococo Rose Designer Series Paper on a Rococo Rose card base.

The Very Vanilla mat had two little semi circle punch outs on each side using the 1/2″ circle punch. the sentiment was punched out with the Everyday label punch.

The background was stamped using a variety of the stamps from the set and the following colours:

  • Pool Party
  • Blueberry Bushel
  • Mossy Meadow
  • Rococo Rose
  • Pear Pizzazz

The ribbon, which was wrapped around the mat between the notches, was created by tearing the edge from a length of Rococo Rose Scalloped Linen ribbon.

The second Card was a Thick Whisper White side-opening landscape card. A piece of Whisper White card was used to stamp onto,

The colours used for this card were:

  • Petal Pink
  • Flirty Flamingo
  • Soft Sea Foam
  • Shaded Spruce

I then added some small flowers that were heat embossed in copper

The sentiment was also embossed in copper. The finishing touches were some punched out flowers, layered up with dimensionals and a length of linen thread wrapped around.

Thursday

On Thursday I created 2 very different cards, but both involved a piece of card being decorated and then embossed

For the first card, I punched lots of the small blooms from some Purple Posy cardstock and then stuck them randomly over a piece of 14.4cm x 10cm Purple Posy cardstock. I ensured some of the blooms overlapped the edge of the card. I then trimmed the edge of the card to create straight edges. This whole piece of card was then embossed with the subtles embossing folder. This helps to give the card some uniformity.

The card was finished with the addition of a whisper white band backed with gorgeous grape. The swirly foliage image was stamped onto it with Pear Pizzazz and the Thank You sentiment stamped in Lovely Lipstick. The bright punched blooms with black stamped centres were shaped and added, along with a sprinkling of rhinestones.

The second card had a very different feel to it. This monochromatic sympathy card started as a piece of Whisper White card that was stamped with the swirly foliage stamp in black ink. This piece of card was embossed with the Bricks and Mortar 3D embossing folder. I heat embossed some black and white flowers before punching them out with the small blooms punch. They were scattered along the length of the foliage, some being stuck with glue and others with dimensionals. The sentiment was stamped onto whisper white and punched out with the Timeless Label punch. A second punch from black card was cut in half and used to create a frame for the sentiment. Some rhinestones were added to the centres of the white flowers.
