On this post I am sharing some Floral Birthday Card Inspiration

Each week Demonstrators from the Crafty Collaborations Community take part in a Monochromatic Insta Hop over on Instagram. Each week a different colour is chosen and the participants create a monochromatic card.

This week we are using the 2225-2027 In Color, Strawberry Slush

You can see a full list of the products I have used at the end of the post, including links to my online shop.

Floral Birthday Card Inspiration

I couldn’t resist creating a bright and cheerful floral birthday card using the Lovely Arrangements Bundle.

Working in a single colour palette can sometimes feel limiting, but it’s actually a wonderful way to create a cohesive and elegant design. By layering different textures and tones of the same colour you can still achieve lots of depth and interest.

For this card I used the Strawberry Slush In Color Designer Series Paper for the background layers. The subtle patterns add texture while keeping the overall design soft and cohesive.

The focal point of the card is created using the Lovely Arrangements Bundle, with the flowers stamped and die cut before being layered together to form a bold floral cluster. Shading has been added to the centre of the flowers with a Strawberry Slush Stampin’ Blend. The white detailing on the flowers really stands out beautifully against the Strawberry Slush tones and is created with heat embossing. I also embossed the leaf images , which gave them the effect of being white leaves with Strawberry Slush detailing.

To add some softness I included a length of Strawberry Slush Faux Linen Ribbon behind the floral arrangement. This adds dimension while keeping the design balanced.

The finishing touches come from the Strawberry Slush Gems, which bring a little sparkle and tie the whole project together.

Monochromatic designs are a wonderful reminder that sometimes simple colour palettes can make the biggest impact.
