for today’s post I have been creating a Fold Back Fun Fold Card for Life Events.

Fold Back Fun Fold Card for Life Events

In this month’s Creativity Abounds Blog Hop, where we are celebrating Life Events. This is also the theme for our monthly tutorial bundle, filled with inspiration from demonstrators around the world.

My tutorial project for the bundle this month is a wedding card, but for today’s hop I have created a design that would be perfect for a sympathy or thinking of you card.

The card features a Fold Back Fun Fold, which adds an elegant interactive element while still keeping the design clean and sophisticated.

For this project I used the Gallery Blooms Bundle. The paper I chose has beautifully detailed floral images that work wonderfully for more reflective occasions such as sympathy or thinking of you cards.

The floral image on the front panel has been stamped in Secret Sea ink, colour added with Cloud Cover Stampin’ Blends and then die cut. It has been layered over the stunning Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paperonto labels cut from the Nested Essentials Dies. The soft artistic style of the paper gives the card a gentle, almost painterly feel.

Finishing Off

To add dimension and texture I included:

• Secret Sea Open Weave Ribbon
• Cloud Cover Flat Pearls
• layered die cut foliage behind the stamped flowers

The colour palette of soft blues, greys and neutrals keeps the card calm and understated, which feels especially appropriate for sympathy cards.
