Friendly Witch Halloween Card

This week I decided to join in the Paper Players Challenge with this friendly witch Halloween card.

The theme for this challenge was “spooky” and it gave me the perfect opportunity to play with an idea I had recently had.

Delivering Cheer Stamp=a=Stack Class projects from Love-a-Duckie using Stampin' Up products.

When designing the cards for this recent Stamp-a-Stack Class using the Delivering Cheer stamp set, I had coloured one of the ladies tights in green. It reminded me of the Wicked Witch of the West and so the imagination took flight.

I don’t think this witch is very wicked, because she is laden with a huge bouquet. Her sparkly outfit and hat would suggest she is off to a very “A List” Halloween party.

I used the stitched triangles die set to create the Black Glitter paper hat. I cut the skirt out, by first creating a template on scrap card. The flowers and hands, legs and feet were coloured with Stampin’ Blends.

The Black card base was layered up with some Granny Apple Green cardstock and a piece of Pumpkin Pie Designer Series paper from the Regals pack.

I embellished the card with Black Matte dots and some black glitter ribbon. I think she is a very glamorous witch and I don’t think she would give anyone too much of a fright if they were to meet her out and about on 31st October. Does that mean she isn’t spooky I wonder?
