As we are nearing Valentine’s Day, my post features a hearts galore scrapbook page for the Scrapbook Sunday Blog Hop.

This is a monthly blog hop that is brought to you by the Crafty Collaborations Community and its focus is purely on memory keeping projects, whether that is scrapbook pages , Memory and More pocket pages, or memory books.

This is an area I want to develop, both personally and in my business. So share my journey with me as I go from a relative novice scrapbooker and learn techniques, embrace new ideas and explore the expanding range of products that Stampin’ Up will be introducing over the coming months.

Hearts Galore Scrapbook Page

This page is built on a 12″ x 12″ piece of Petunia Pop cardstock. The centre panel is a torn piece of White Willow card that has been blended along the torn edges with Melon Mambo ink. The photo panel is a piece of DSP from the Bloom Impression pack which is backed with Blackberry Bliss card.

I then got to work stamping and die cutting hearts. Using pink/purple shades from the Sale-a-Bration paper pack, Bloom Impressions and the Hearts of Elegance Bundle I was able to create a variety of sizes of hearts to layer along the bottom of my photo panel.

These dies feature a couple of different textured edges to some of the dies.

There is also this gorgeous patterned die and the stamp set features this negative effect image.

Both the flowers in the top right of the photo panel and the greeting in the Greetings of the Seasons Labels are taken from the Hearts of Elegance stamp set. The foliage with the flowers were punched with the Blough Punch.

The splattering of small hearts and the embossed sentiments come from the Hugs for Love stamp set.

The page was finished with some scattered gold adhesive backed heart sequins.
