In today’s blog post I am sharing how to create a wobble card.
This card is my contribution to the Design Team’s selection for the latest Festive Friday Challenge, which is celebrating State Fairs
We have used this occasion to come up with a list of elements that we call our Inspo List.
The Inspo List is 10 items you can choose from to create your project in our card making and paper crafting challenge. Incorporate THREE of the items in your project and link up! And guess what? Your project doesn’t have to be about the theme at all! The selected festivity is just a unique way to come up with a fun and interesting inspiration list!
My project used: bright colours, ribbon, interactive card, bunting, congratulations sentiment.
Congratulations
To create this card I used the little hamster from the Fluffiest Friends Stamp set. This cling red rubber set includes a whole gang and furry, well rounded creatures. It has been teamed with paper from the Brights 6″ x 6″ paper stack.
This card would be perfect to celebrate a new baby.
You can see a full list of the products I have used at the end of the post, including links to my online shop.
How To Create a Wobble Card
The 3rd largest stitched circle was used to create an aperture in the front of a standard tent fold card.
A piece of the Coastal Cabana paper was trimmed to 13.9cm tall and then folded to create the insert. Afterwards this was stuck to the inside of the card.
After that a Basic White insert measuring 5.5cm x 9.9cm was then stuck inside the folded insert. Faux stitching was added around the edge with a Coastal Cabana Stampin’ Write marker.
The hamster was stamped in Memento ink onto Basic White card before he was coloured with Stampin’ Blends. I used Summer Splash, Light Gray Granite, SU600, SU800 and SU1000. He was then die cut.
To create the wobble element a 2nd smallest stitched circle was die cut from Coastal Cabana cardstock and then cut into a spiral. The outer edge of the spiral was attached to the front of the insert through the aperture in the card. The hamster was then added to the centre of the spiral with a mini dimensional.
To decorate the front of the card, some bunting from the Filled With Fun Bundle was first stamped in Coastal Cabana ink and then die cut. A piece of Summer Splash ribbon was wrapped around a piece of 5.5cm x 10.5cm Coastal Cabana Designer Series paper and then added to the front of the card. A bow of Summer Splash ribbon was attached with a glue dot. A further 1.5cm x 10.5cm strip of paper was added across the top of the card.
Lastly the congratulations sentiment from the Cutest Cow stamp set was stamped onto a Basic White banner from the Stylish Shapes die set.
Let’s Hop
