How To Create Triple Embossed Embellishments

Today’s blog post is demonstrating how to create triple embossed embellishments.

How To Create Triple Embossed Embellishments

For today’s project, I have done some standard heat embossing with gold embossing powder, but I have also created a medallion type embellishment using triple heat embossing.

The stamp set I have used is Memorable Blooms, a cling mount, red rubber stamp set. It is important for this technique to use a rubber stamp set. A photopolymer one might warp in the process.

Get Heating

To create this medallion I started with a 1 3/4″ Basic White punched circle.. I added Versamark and gold embossing powder and heated with the heat tool. Then I repeated the process, building up the layers of embossing powder and heating them. For this project I added 4 layers. Just before heating the final layer, I inked my image with Memento ink and as soon as the embossing powder was molten, I stamped the image into it, leaving it a few seconds for the embossing powder to begin to cool and set.

The larger floral image and the sentiment were both heat embossed with gold embossing powder onto Basic White card. The floral bouquet was coloured with watercolor pencils – I used Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo and Old Olive.

I used Melon Mambo cardstock to create the mats on the card. I embellished it with a small piece of Gold Open Weave Trim and some gold pearls.
