I demonstrated how to use reverse masking with the Daffodil Daydream Bundle on this recent Live.

Two cards created with the Daffodil Daydreams Bundle and techniques including reverse masks and water colour

The bundle consists of cling stamps and a coordinating die set. As well as cutting out the stamped images, there are also dies that you can layer up to produce detailed Daffodils.

In this first Live using this bundle I spotlighted the stamps and I used watercolour and watercolour pencils. In addition I used some of the new coordinating Sale-a-Bration papers – Daffodil Afternoon. You can choose these for free with any £45 order during sale-a-bration. Order the Daffodil Daydream Bundle and you can choose the papers for free.

How to Use Reverse Masking.

You can see how to use reverse masking in this card using the daffodil daydream bundle from Stampin' Up!

For my reverse masking, I cut am aperture from some scrap card using the die from the Hippo dies set. I then used a blending brush to add ink to the aperture and some stamped detail. The resulting panel gave a beautiful backdrop for the stamped, water coloured and die cut daffodils and butterflies.

I gave this card an Easter greeting and it was embellished with some Polished Dots.

Layered Patterned Papers

This card uses the daffodil daydream bundle from Stampin' Up and the coordinating Daffodil afternoon Papers.

For this second card I used the Basic Border dies to shape the layers of Daffodil Afternoon Designer Series Paper. The stamped daffodils in the background were coloured with Watercolour pencils and a Blender Pen. The sentiment came from the Garden Wishes stamp set. this card was finished with some of the new Brushed Brass Butterflies.
