Ink Blending Along Torn Edges

On this post I am demonstrating ink blending along torn edges.

Each week Demonstrators from the Crafty Collaborations Community take part in a Monochromatic Insta Hop over on Instagram. Each week a different colour is chosen and the participants create a monochromatic card.

Ink Blending Along Torn Edges

For this card, I combined Smoky Slate card and ink with the Prairie Grass stamp set. I added some grass to the card base using Versamark ink to give a watermark effect. On a torn strip of card, I stamped another of the images in Smoky Slate ink and used a blending brush to add ink along the edges and added some splatters.

I coloured some white twine with a Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blend to wrap around this torn mat, before adding it to the card front with dimensionals. The finishing touch was some Smoky Slate pearls.

The “so very sorry” sentiment makes this a perfect sympathy card.
